Research Associate

Aamuktha, originally from Hyderabad, India, has been passionate about healthcare and research from an early age. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery and worked as a General Dental Surgeon, where she developed a strong interest in improving health outcomes and assisting individuals and families in navigating health challenges. Aamuktha furthered her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, obtaining a Master of Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology.

Before joining the Chromosome 18 Clinical Research Center, Aamuktha worked in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she contributed to various infectious disease research projects. Additionally, she served as a global health professional in collaboration with the World Health Organization, focusing on health education programs and evaluating their impact on health outcomes. Her research background includes significant projects, such as investigating oral health conditions and management strategies in children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and studying the acceptability of a Chlamydia vaccine among young women.

At Chromosome 18 Clinical Research Center, Aamuktha is eager to apply her expertise to deepen the understanding of health issues and provide support to families on their journey towards improved well-being.
