The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society is proud to present the Annual 5K Starfish Dash Run/Walk & Health Fair for the 8th year! This FREE, official Fiesta event brings our San Antonio community together for a morning of family-friendly fun at the UT Health campus to support our special-needs kids and families.
Join us on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at 8:00am for activities for the whole family including “Fort Sam’s Own” 323rd Army Band, face painting, cosplayers, health, wellness testing, and much more!
If you would like to participate as a family or team, be sure to pick the team option during your registration! Pick a fun name for your team and encourage your friends and family to join in the fun.

The 2025 Starfish Dash Honoree – Kelsie Curry
I’m Kelsie and I am 28 years old, and I was diagnosed with 18p-. This hasn’t stopped me and never will.
I have accomplished a lot, there are still things I’d love to achieve but I know the time will come for them! I graduated high school in 2015, I had 2 favorite classes – music history and my pottery class.
I currently work at Cracker Barrel on the retail side, but have also been a hostess and a prep cook there as well. In my free time, I love to draw, write, and play video games. Sometimes I’ll pop open Twitch and stream a game I love to play called Toontown Corporate Clash which is a private server, but is so much fun!
I am very open about 18p- diagnosis, so I’m honored to be chosen as the honoree and to be inspiration for present and future generations.
Kelsie lives in Houston, Texas with her mother and father, David and Shannon Curry.
