Steve is father to Cole and Lane, who has 18p-. He has been an active Chromosome 18 Registry member since 2007, co-chairing the 2013 Annual Family Conference. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, he is now a pediatrician in private practice in Savannah, GA. He completed his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University, his medical school training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and his pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville & Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and works as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Mercer University School of Medicine. Being both a physician and the father of a self advocate, Steve offers a unique insight that directly supports the Registry's three core pillars: building community, expanding education, and advancing research. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, snow skiing, and SCUBA.
