Michael and his family live in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is a proud dad to Quinn, who has 18q-. His family immediately felt at home when they connected with the Chromosome 18 community, finding support, guidance, and deep connections with both new and longtime families. In 2024, Michael and his wife, Kristen, served as conference chairs, an experience that deepened their commitment to supporting families within the Registry.
During his first year on the Board, Michael is focused on helping strengthen collaboration, expand awareness, and support the programs that make the Chromosome 18 community such a powerful source of connection for families.
A graduate of Appalachian State University, Michael works in Restaurant design and equipment sales. Kristen is a dedicated stay-at-home mom to Zander and to Quinn when he’s not in school. As a family, they love to travel, and Michael especially enjoys golfing and they love doing sensory activities, playing music and providing Quinn with all the opportunities we can to lead a normal childhood.
